Under general supervision, provide skills necessary to support the department of Agricultural Operations research station. Cultural practices of row crops, includes mixing and applying sprays of herbicides, insecticides and fungicides for control of pests using various spray equipment. Open field management and making equipment adjustments as necessary. Reads, and understands the various pesticide labels for pesticides used in the control of pests with special attention on the proper use of protective clothing and equipment required in the application of these materials. Keeps accurate records of materials applied for required monthly reports and field.
The full salary range for the Senior Agricultural Technician is $21.52 to $29.58 per hour. However, the expected pay scale for this position is $21.52 to $23.29 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
