Job Description

Where You'll Work
This 32-hour position is based in our Lenexa, Kansas office. We leverage a hybrid working model working three days in the office, two days optional remote work.

What You'll Do
The Learning and Performance Manager is an RN who leads the evaluation, design and creation of clinical learning and performance solutions, ensuring the content is engaging, meaningful and meets the criteria for continuing education credits from accrediting bodies.



  • Manage assigned product lines (content categories) through the product line life cycle providing leadership and overall direction and vision for specific product lines, leading the advisory committee to determine needs, and performing a gap analysis.
  • Collaborate with production and technology teams to ensure the achievement of defined product standards within targeted timelines.
  • Partner with internal marketing, communications and sales teams to execute and monitors marketing plans for each product line.
  • Provides market-based strategic direction for specific product lines through annual product line plan.
  • Utilizes industry experience, market analysis and customer engagement strategies to identify and develop new products and partner opportunities, and to identify new market opportunities.
  • Specifies market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by ongoing communications and/or visits to member and non-member clients.
  • Assists in management of product partner relationships, including contracting and implementation oversight, quality control, marketing and sales training engagement, and tracking of sales and profitability, as applicable.
  • Provides product line education to internal sales team, existing clients, and business partners.
  • Participating in sales calls to provide subject matter expertise as needed.


  • Serves as a continuing education planner, fulfilling all of the duties therein as specified by the accrediting body, including but not limited to: implementing plans to evaluate education and continuing education programs and services ensuring they abide by the standards and guidelines set forth as an accredited JAICE provider unit of continuing education and according to the standards and guidelines set forth by other continuing education approving bodies (e.g., AARC, Association of Child Life Professionals).

Experience and Skills

What You'll Bring to CHA
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge is qualifying.



  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required; master's degree in nursing or education preferred


NOTE: Either the baccalaureate or the graduate degree must be in nursing



  • Minimum of three years' clinical experience required; critical care experience strongly preferred; pediatric experience preferred.
  • Registered nursing (RN) license required; Certification as Nursing Professional Development (BC-NPD) specialist and/or Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) preferred.
  • Minimum of two years' experience developing and instructionally designing clinical-focused education for nurses and/or various health care disciplines.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills to achieve desired outcomes and design timelines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, especially Word
  • Ability to lead/manage individuals and teams.
  • Ability to prepare and present information in varied mediums, strong group facilitation skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and education; detailed knowledge of a variety of training technologies
  • Knowledge of designing Internet-based virtual classroom training and evaluative processes and learning outcome/performance measurement
