The Associate Director, Workday Financials Reporting & Analytics Consulting Services is a practice leadership role that provides expert guidance, advice, and development support to the Reporting and Analytics team and our clients.This individual will assist the sales team with activities that include oral presentations, estimations, and contract support. This person works closely with Engagement Managers, Project Managers, Managing Consultants, and other leaders while serving as a liaison between the Reporting and Analytics team and executive management. This person will assist in identifying business needs, staffing projects, and ensuring that the work/life balance of our consultants is monitored and adjusted appropriately.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Project Oversight:

  • Oversight responsibility for projects across the practice
  • Oversee and assist engagement/project managers and team members when needed to identify project needs, reduce risk and develop solutions and strategies

Sales Support:

  • Support the RFP response and pursuit process for Consulting work

Team Leadership:

  • Assist in the recruitment, development, and management of a diverse, remote team of consultants supporting Workday Reporting
  • Promote a team-oriented, challenging and innovative work environment
  • Lead and manage Managers and Consultants to ensure consultants are adhering to the activities, processes and procedures outlined in Workday and Cognizant's Implementation Methodology
  • Drive team and individuals to achieve high customer satisfaction levels
  • Ability to establish immediate credibility with clients and within the company; can build consensus and achieve goals through influence
  • Ability to build trust-based relationship and identify and foster business development opportunities

People Development:

  • Perform role of mentor and coach
  • Analyze team skills and provide for cross training to maintain teams' ability to staff projects appropriately
  • Advise management team on team members' level of expertise and availability

Performance Management:

  • Establish direct reports' goals and objectives during the bi-annual review process
  • Direct the collection of performance feedback from customer and engagement/project manager on a quarterly basis or upon completion of project for your entire team
  • Direct the collection of all internal contributions for team members assuring data is received by HR on a quarterly basis
  • Drive bi-annual performance review process for the team

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of Workday consulting implementation experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Senior Manager role
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing and leading Workday Reporting consultants
  • Workday Financials certification with Record to Report specialization required
  • Workday Prism Analytics and Accounting Center certifications preferred
  • Proven experience leading a virtual team for 3+ years
  • Required characteristics: fast learner, detail oriented, decisive, and enjoy fast paced work environments
  • Must work well within and across teams to get things accomplished
  • Possess sales engagement experience estimating and presenting to prospects
