The Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Plant Driver to work at our Columbia City in Columbia City, Indiana. The Plant Driver operates truck for the purpose of transporting and delivering various type of materials or equipment between operations and repair facility or throughout the mill.

Pay: $20-$23/hr; plus $2/hr shift differential for nights

Shift: 2 Night Shift

Responsibilities
The Driver will:



  • Performs pre-trip and pot-trip vehicle inspections along with routine greasing, oiling and fueling
  • Load, unload and transports materials
  • Ensures truck is properly loaded
  • Proceeds to scale to be weighted and received paperwork
  • Monitors changes in truck performance and reports potential malfunctions to maintenance personnel
  • Maintains cleanliness of vehicle
  • Complies with all safety regulations and policies
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor


Skills
The ideal candidate will have:



  • Knowledge of equipment (e.g., engine, hydraulic component, tires, etc.)
  • Basic mechanical aptitude
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Basic Communication skills
