Job Description: Job Description:The Quality Auditor is responsible for auditing material received, work in progress, and finished products in all areas of welding and/or assembly to ensure product conformance with work orders, engineering specifications, and drawing specifications. Also responsible for auditing processes to ensure standards are being followed as specified. This position makes decisions regarding product quality with appropriate awareness of customer needs, manufacturing processes, production schedule, and product function. Leads or facilitates problem solving and process improvement activities. Reviews customer specifications and/or drawings and ensures consistent compliance to customer quality specifications, drawings, etc. Reviews quality assurance report for accuracy and completeness. Verifies QAR against work orders, production schedule and system requirements for conformity. Works with quality team to develop, maintain and make changes as necessary based on ECN to QAR. Audits processes against standards such as work instructions, quality alerts, work orders, etc. to ensure personnel are following specifications. Identify and track recurring issues based on personnel, parts or procedural issues. Lead or facilitate problem solving activities such as root cause analysis projects, PDCA projects, etc. Facilitate or participate in process improvement activities such as Kaizen events, 5S events, etc. Conduct supplier visits to address supplier quality issues. High school diploma or general education degree (GED)and a minimum of two years of related experience and/or training.. Basic computer operations required. Forklift experience preferred, but not required. Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience is desired. Additional Job Information: n/a |
