Actively participate in the Wealth Planning Business Development Team to support client advisers and integrate goal-based financial planning into sales and service delivery. Focus on increasing the close rate of new, complex prospects and deepening relationships with existing clients using a fiduciary approach. Provide enterprise-wide guidance and serve as a subject matter expert to resolve complex planning issues. Work with high-net-worth individuals and apply complex wealth planning concepts. Support and drive new business activities across all business lines of Associated Bank. Build and maintain a network of contacts to facilitate new business production. Success is based on achieving market-based sales results related to financial planning assets.

This person will also:

  • Increase close rates for new, complex wealth planning prospects and deepen existing client relationships. Maintain relationships within Private Wealth (PW) and other business lines for joint activities and opportunities.

  • Support market-based planners in leveraging goal-based financial planning and identifying cross-sell opportunities. Develop and recommend solutions for complex planning issues.

  • Collaborate with PW colleagues to identify wealth planning opportunities, structure recommendations, and create client presentations.

  • Develop and present materials on financial planning and wealth management to drive business opportunities.

  • Track follow-up activities on prospects and clients using Salesforce and MoneyGuidePro.

  • Stay updated on legislative rules, insurance, finance, and human resources trends to serve as a subject matter expert.

  • Attend sales training seminars and maintain knowledge of PW products and services to assist colleagues and clients.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field. Required

Experience

  • 4-7 years Wealth/Financial planning and planning software. Understanding of advanced financial planning concepts. Broad knowledge of investment, insurance products, consultative sales. Strong awareness of tax planning issues. Required

Licenses and Certifications

  • CFP-Certified Financial Planner or CWS-Certified Wealth Strategist by start date. Required

  • Life , Accident and Health Insurance License within 1 year. Required

  • Series 7-Stockbroker Exam by start date. Preferred

  • CPA - Certified Public Accountant by start date. Preferred
