Position Purpose |
In the Hogan Lab, we research how microbes evolve over time in chronic infections in the lung and during ulcerative colitis in ways that affect the progression of disease and make them more difficult to treat. We are driven by a passion for discovery and value collaborative approaches to scientific inquiry. We use multiple experimental systems with a focus on genetics combined with transcriptomics and metabolomics
An important goal of the lab is to inspire and train the next generation of scientists. We are looking for a highly motivated Laboratory Technician with some experience in molecular biology to join our team. The individual will contribute to the intellectual development of a project, attend and present at lab meetings, and have opportunities to take part in publications. Previous technicians in the lab have been students who are taking two to three years between undergraduate and graduate school before moving into PhD or MD programs or excellent jobs in biotech or pharma. |
