Application Developer

Job Overview:

As an Application Developer, you will provide application development and support services to operating companies in Alabama, Mississippi, and Georgia. You will play a crucial role in implementing and supporting Enterprise GIS solutions within the organization. The position can be based in either Atlanta, GA, or Birmingham, AL.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain GIS applications.

- Collaborate with team members and vendors to analyze, document, and test GIS application changes.

- Work closely with IT team members, management, and customers to develop effective GIS solutions tailored to business needs.

Education and Experience:

Degree: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering is required.

Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in GIS application development or support.

Technical Skills:

- Proficiency in C#, Java, or other object-oriented programming languages.

- Experience with ESRI's .NET or Java SDK.

- Knowledge of Esri's REST API is preferred.

- Experience with Python, Oracle, TypeScript, and Angular is preferred.

- Familiarity with ESRI JavaScript API.

- Experience in the utility industry is a plus.

- Windows server administration and configuration experience is preferred.

Competencies:

- Ability to build and manage relationships within a large IT organization and with multiple vendors.

- Capable of handling both production support and project-related tasks simultaneously.
