Purpose of Position

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic partner, while also managing some tactical responsibilities, for assigned business units, providing comprehensive HR support to drive business objectives. The HRBP aligns business goals with employees and management, develops integrated HR solutions, and supports change management initiatives. This role requires a deep understanding of the business, strong HR expertise, and the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Strategic Partnering:

  • Collaborate with business leaders to understand goals and challenges, providing HR insights to support business strategy.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Utilize talent analytics to provide insights into workforce trends, identify risks and areas of improvement, and measure the effectiveness of talent management initiatives.
  • Use data storytelling to drive talent decisions and recommend strategies to leadership through dashboards and reports.
  • Partner with business leaders on workforce planning, including the identification of critical positions and future needs.
  • Lead the annual headcount and salary budget planning process.
  • Advise leaders on organizational design to align with strategic goals and enhance overall effectiveness.

Employee Relations:

  • *Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on HR-related matters.
  • Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts through effective communication and problem-solving.
  • Conduct investigations and manage disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and relevant employment laws.

Talent Consultant:

  • Drive talent management programs, including performance management, succession planning, and career development.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to leaders and employees for continuous improvement.

Culture and Engagement:

  • Collaborate with Employee Experience on listening strategies and insights gained from employee surveys.
  • Partner with business leaders to review survey data and discuss retention implications.
  • Consult with leaders on engagement strategies and survey action plans.
  • Assist with onboarding new leaders, conducting 90-day onboarding meetings, new leader assimilations, and reinforcing leadership training initiatives.
  • Model culture, competencies, and change management behaviors aligned with the 20/20 Flight Plan.

Bachelor's in Human Resources

  • Partner with management, HR Team, colleagues and business leaders to implement specific programs and initiatives directly aligned to the 20/20 Flight Plan in the areas of performance management, recognition, career development, organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, talent development, compensation and employee relations
  • Provide management coaching and support to front line managers to improve their managerial effectiveness; improve work relationships, build morale, drive performance management, accountability and engagement
  • Act as an advocate for and resource to Team Members (TM) when needed to assure that TM perspectives are heard and considered
  • Ability to influence at multiple levels of the organization and drive prioritization of HR initiatives
  • Consistently offers quality advice, counsel and insight; Demonstrates sound judgment and discretion; address issues constructively by providing independent, objective and courageous advice
  • Strong talent management, organizational development and employee relations experience
  • Conduct thorough and objective investigations as needed, assess risk and determine appropriate actions necessary
  • Provide compensation support including salary planning, approval of salary actions, promotions and job re-leveling
