Job Description Summary

The Chief Customer Officer will lead the commercial business strategy, setting sales targets and strategic sales plans to meet or exceed company goals and building a high performing sales organization to drive profitable business growth.This role reports directly to the SVP, General Manager of GoGo SqueeZ and is a member of the Fruit Snacking Category Leadership Team serving along with CFO, CMO, VP of Supply Chain, VP HR, & SVP of Manufacturing. This is a #hybrid role (10 days WFH/month), based in New York CityGoGo SqueeZ HQ .

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Customer Strategy Development:




  • Lead the development of a comprehensive customer strategy aligned with the company's growth and sustainability objectives.





  • Identify and prioritize customer segments, developing tailored strategies to acquire and retain them.





  • Anticipate changes in the marketplace and modify strategies to deliver results.





  • Convey sales vision, mindset and strategies, translate guidance into local Commercial Strategy.




Customer Experience / Advocacy:




  • Accountable for the overall customer experience, ensuring that all touchpoints with the company reflect its brand values and commitment to excellence.



  • Maximize the cost-efficient and value-added impact of Broker Partners





  • Ensure retail and merchandising excellence





  • Act as the voice of customers for both their business and sustainability needs




Customer Insights and Analytics:




  • Utilize data and analytics to gain insights into consumer behavior, market & customer trends.



  • Leverage customer insights to drive strategic decision-making with pricing, promotions, portfolio strategies and product innovation.




Performance Metrics and Continuous Improvement:




  • Manage P&L impact of organizational decisions with a focus on delivering financial targets



  • Develop and implement detailed annual sales plans with the sales and marketing teams





  • Set clear objectives and KPIs for the sales team to achieve budgeted sales, profitable growth as well as distribution goals





  • Drive continuous improvement efforts & transformation initiatives based on customer feedback and performance metrics, ensure the company remains responsive to evolving customer needs.




Leadership & Collaboration:




  • Attract, develop, engage and retain a high performing sales team





  • Drive organizational evolution of sales team and tools to meet high growth objectives





  • Build & maintain trust and long-term strategic relationships with customers and other stakeholders





  • Collaborate with Marketing, HR, Finance, R&D and Supply Chain teams to ensure alignment of decisions and operational excellence in execution




Innovation and Growth Opportunities:




  • Identify opportunities for innovation, transformation and growth through the development of joint business plans, new products, activation ideas, and customer engagement strategies.





  • Stay on top of industry trends and market dynamics to capitalize on emerging opportunities.





Key Performance Indicators (KPI):




  • Net sales and volume growth





  • Sales margin





  • Forecast accuracy





  • Trade spend efficiency & budget management





  • Price & Promotion effectiveness





  • Distribution and display metrics





  • Core business growth





  • New business development especially in Foodservice (Out-Of-Home)





  • Employee Engagement & other key talent metrics





  • Profit





Required Qualifications:

Education :




  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience required;





  • MBA preferred




Experience :




  • 20+ years of CPG / food retail sales experience with proven success of driving profitable growth





  • Including at least 5 years of C-Level leadership experience for a team of 30+ sales professionals within an international organization





  • Fast growing companies experience preferred with at least $500M in sales





  • Experience in e-Commerce and Foodservice (Out-Of-Home) required





  • Experience or exposure to Category Manager and Revenue Growth Management preferred

Hybrid Working Conditions: Work is performed largely in an office or home office environment. Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours with at least 40 hours a week. At times there will be some variation in work hours due to special projects, deadlines and other concerns. Up to 50% travel is required.

Total Rewards:

Base Salary range: $300,000 - $350,000

+Bonus 40%
