PUBLIC ADDRESS ANNOUNCERDepartment: Marketing & Video Production Immediate Supervisor: Assistant Director of Athletics / Video, Marketing & Brand EnhancementLocation: Luth Athletic Complex
Type: Part-Time / Seasonal position

Hours: Based on event schedule

Holy Cross Athletics is seeking candidates for the Public Address Announcer position. This role serves to inform everyone in attendance at home Holy Cross sporting events during the 2024-25 season. Responsibilities
  • Serve as the Public Address Announcer for five (5) home football games at Fitton Field. NCAA post season games may be included at the conclusion of the regular season
  • Announce live game action as it occurs
  • Perform pre, in, and postgame reads as needed
  • Perform commercial reads as needed
  • Assist athletic communications and marketing staff in any other game day needs as they arise
Qualifications:
  • Must have a comprehensive knowledge of football
  • This position also requires a knowledge of, or demonstrated ability to learn, specific game protocol as it pertains to Patriot League and NCAA rules.
  • During events, the public address announcer may have to interact with and work alongside the following: assigned game officials, Athletic Communications staff, Event Management staff, and Marketing and Promotions staff.
  • Must be able to observe and react to events on the field/court/athletic venue in order to accurately announce information.
  • Must have an excellent speaking voice and ability to project and annunciate and the ability to read announcements in a timely fashion.
  • Possess a willingness and ability to support a diverse and inclusive environment.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This position is classified as non exempt level position for purposes of the federal wage and hour law.
