Are you ready to make your mark? If you're an Operations Specialist (Machining), we have an exciting opportunity for you. The Operations Specialist L2 supports production from a technical standpoint and has a solid understanding of the product being produced in the area. It is the first line of defense regarding production related issues. The position solves difficult manufacturing problems and works with members to implement process and product improvements.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Resolves problems on the manufacturing floor and performs Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action
  • Recommends and implements process improvements for new product introductions and/or existing manufacturing processes
  • Identifies mistakes on various manufacturing documents and provides redlines to engineering
  • Writes and releases new work instructions and other manufacturing documentation. Revises existing work instructions and other manufacturing documentation
  • Evaluates new tooling for application to current designs
  • Recommends and implements revisions of methods of operation or material handling, alterations in equipment layout or other changes to increase production or improve standards
  • Dispositions standard nonconformance's (i.e. QNs/NCRs/ATRs)

What We Are Looking For

  • High School Diploma or international equivalent
  • Minimum 2+ years' experience as an Operations Specialist or similar external role required
  • Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing tools and lean principles
  • Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Solid computer skills (i.e. Excel, Word, SAP, ERPs, PLM)
  • Able to manufacture complex parts or assemblies with preliminary drawings. Able to operate more advanced test or manufacturing equipment
  • Able to interpret complex schematics or drawings and identify mistakes. Basic GD&T knowledge
  • Machining Specific:
    • 1. Solid knowledge of applicable machining processes including Computer Numeric Controls (CNC) programming, 2. Solid interpretation of specifications and participation in hardware disposition and 3. Solid knowledge of cutting tools and machine capability
