Venable LLP's Labor and Employment Group seeks a midlevel associate with three to five years of experience in employment litigation to join the practice in the Los Angeles office.
The successful candidate has excellent oral and written communication skills and outstanding academic credentials. Qualified candidates will have significant broad-based experience in employment litigation; in particular, defending wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, and wage/hour class and representative actions. They will have substantial experience counseling employers on day-to-day issues such as wage and hour laws, terminations, leaves of absence, and reasonable accommodations, as well as drafting employment documents (such as hiring documents, policies/handbooks, and termination documents). Candidates must hold a juris doctorate degree from an accredited law school and be admitted to and in good standing with the relevant jurisdiction's bar. The salary range for associate positions is $205,000 to $365,000 per year, depending upon associate level.
