Appointments are contingent on the hiring unit's instructional need and the availability of funding. This recruitment is valid for initial appointments made in fall quarter 2024 through fall quarter 2025. Initial appointments with effective dates outside of this recruitment period will require an alternative open recruitment. Position duration:

Program at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC), which serves as a center for the development and study of digital media and the cultures they help create, invites applications for an ongoing pool of lecturers. DANM courses address interdisciplinary artistic and scholarly research and production, in the context of a broad examination of digital arts and cultures. Lecturers will generally be appointed to teach courses that address current theory and practice, but course topics may also include mechatronics, participatory culture, performative technologies, or playable media. Applicants with expertise in theory and practice of digital arts and new media are strongly encouraged to apply. The campus is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through their teaching and other assigned duties.
