Responsibilities

  • Responsible for utilizing and electroencephalograph to record electrical impulses from the brain
  • Apply electrodes to predetermined positions on patient's scalp
  • Take and verify recordings
  • Operate, maintain, calibrate and adjust specialized equipment
  • Monitor, transcribe physician order and perform other support duties to include but not limited to paging physicians
  • Obtain insurance pre-certification
  • Arrange for home and medical care and coordinate desk activities
  • Adhere to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • One to three (1-3) year of previous EEG experience

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited electroeurodiagnostic technology program, with some college level course work
  • Eligible for or currently registered by ABRET
  • Registered EEG Tech
  • One (1) year experience in specialty
