Software Developer

The Opportunity:

As a software developer, you know that good software is more than just a nice-looking interface and data. You need the right combination of clean code, APIs, analytics, and infrastructure to help build a user-oriented solution. We're looking for a software developer like you to develop efficient and effective software, from vision to production-ready system, in an exciting, agile environment.

As an experienced software developer at Booz Allen, you'll use the latest architectural approaches, open-source frameworks, and resources to overcome your clients' most difficult challenges. You'll use your passion to master new tools and techniques while helping to identify and implement system improvements. You'll code and deliver solutions that support the current architecture and operating environment, as well as oversee future functionality and enhancements.

You Have:

  • 6+ years of experience implementing, maintaining, and supporting agile software development to modernize systems

  • 6+ years of experience in working with other Web or data analysis languages, including Java or Python

  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as Splunk or Elastic Stack (ELK) andcreating and improving continuous automation across multiple technical stacks

  • Experience with platforms, application level, pipeline build and development, and automation to support build and testing

  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience in the intelligence community (IC)

  • Experience mentoring or supervising employees within a collaborative team environment

  • Experience with Java, JavaScript, SQL, Python, Server-Side Development, Middleware, Application or Data Integration, API Development, Core Application Systems, Data Engineering, or Data Science

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines or developing enterprise cloud-native solutions involving Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Jenkins, or Azure

  • Experience working with application development teams across the software development lifecycle and creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative team environment

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
