Cranbrook Athletics is looking for a dedicated individual passionate about coaching to join our esteemed Varsity Girls' Hockey Team. Our team has a strong track record of success, including five State Championships and a runner-up finish in the most recent season. This position is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a winning tradition. Cranbrook has a rich athletic tradition, with numerous conference, district, and regional titles to our name. We have also secured an impressive 99 State Championships across seven different sports. Our top-notch facilities, such as the Thompson Oval, Wallace Ice Arena, Williams Natatorium, Keppel Gymnasium, Jack Sanders Baseball Diamond, and one of the premier Tennis complexes in the nation, are a testament to our dedication to excellence.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Coaching responsibilities encompass overseeing all aspects of the Ice Hockey program, including but not limited to:

• Building competitive teams
• Organizing and conducting practices
• Developing and implementing effective game strategies
• Supervising Assistant Coaches
• Arranging off-season strength and conditioning workouts

Requirements:

Successful candidates will bring a wealth of experience, with at least three years of successful coaching at the collegiate or high school level or in a travel team setting. We place a high value on candidates with ties to youth hockey in the Detroit area, as this demonstrates a deep understanding and connection to our community. Your local ties will not only enhance our team but also strengthen our community bonds, a crucial aspect of our team's success. Candidates should have demonstrated communication and community relations abilities and work effectively with students, staff, administration, and parents.
