Head Coach - Varsity Football Founded by Detroit philanthropists George and Ellen Booth in 1904, Cranbrook Educational Community is one of the world's leading centers of education, science, and art. Comprised of a graduate Academy of Art, contemporary Art Museum, Center for Collections and Research, House and Gardens, Institute of Science, and more than 1,600 students attending our Pre-K through 12 independent college preparatory Schools, Cranbrook welcomes thousands of visitors and students to its campus each year. Cranbrook Athletics is seeking applicants with a passion for coaching for our Varsity FootballTeam for the 2024 season. Our alumni roster boasts names likeHeisman Award Winner, Pete Dawkins, and numerous NCAA players. Cranbrook has a proud athletic tradition that includes hundreds of conference, district, and regional titles, and we have clinched an impressive 99 State Championships in seven different sports. Our facilities, including the Thompson Oval, Wallace Ice Arena, Williams Natatorium, Keppel Gymnasium, Jack Sanders Diamond Baseball Field, and one of the premier Tennis complexes in the nation, are a testament to our commitment to excellence. Expectations: As the Head Coach, you will not only maintain a high standard of integrity in all aspects of team management but also play a crucial role in shaping the student-athletes' academic experience. Your influence will extend beyond the field, as you will have the opportunity to foster a culture that promotes the school's values. We expect you to intentionally integrate these core values as the framework to coach and build athletic programs, making a significant impact on our students' lives. Requirements: Successful candidates will bring a wealth of experience, with at least three years of successful coaching at the collegiate or high school level or in a club setting. Preferred candidates will have played football at the collegiate level. We place high value on candidates with ties to youth football in the Detroit area, as this demonstrates a deep understanding and connection to our community. We believe that your local ties will not only enhance our team but also strengthen our community bonds. Additionally, we expect candidates to have demonstrated communication and community relations abilities and work effectively with students, staff, administration, and parents.
