The Legal Department at Cencora is growing! We are looking for a lawyer with strong aptitude and ability in commercial contracting, coupled with the ability to deliver effective and efficient legal services. Candidates must possess business savvy, be able to manage multiple projects, work in a collaborative manner, and provide strategic counseling. The position title is Senior Counsel and reports to a designated managing attorney. In this role, Senior Counsel will provide commercial contracting support to Cencora's MWI Animal Health business, primarily drafting and negotiating agreements with customers, strategic business partners, and vendors, as well as counsel the business unit on matters related to those contracts and other issues. The ideal candidate is a skilled lawyer who understands the legal issues and can balance legal advice with pragmatic and strategic business-minded considerations. While strong legal skills are essential, the ideal candidate is expected to provide advice based on a nuanced understanding of Cencora's business, industry, and operations, and to work as a proactive business partner in achieving the company's business goals and objectives, while protecting Cencora's interests by identifying and managing regulatory and other risks. The ideal candidate will also be expected to provide advice in a succinct and straight-forward manner, while working directly with internal leadership, sales, finance, credit, and operations personnel. Prior experience in animal health is strongly preferred, but not required. Experience with technology related legal issues would be a plus.
