Arconic is currently in search of a Commercial Finance Manager to join our Aluminum Extrusion (AEX) business unit in Lafayette, IN.

This role will have responsibility for all aspects of Commercial Finance reporting into Business Unit Finance Director with a dotted line to Business Unit Commercial Director. This role will be responsible strategically for data-driven decisions within the pursuit of new business and tactically for financial forecasting of revenue.

The Commercial Finance Manager will be accountable to assuring proper controls and reviews are in place to assure profitable growth of the Business Unit. The role requires strong leadership and communication skills.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Lead team of 3 commercial professionals.
  • Assess customer proposals to determine if new business should be quoted.
  • Lead and implement quote review and approval process.
  • Assure compliance with Delegation of Authority.
  • Prepare and propose financials for customer quotes.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting of Revenue and Margin.
  • Understand and report changes to Budget and Forecast.
  • Active participation in S&OP process.
  • Assist with standards development.
  • Financial support for Commercial Director and staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Basic Qualifications:



  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience
  • This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. *730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Qualified candidate must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the relevant government agency. Business demands may require employer to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Strong technical background, with demonstrated managerial skills and the ability to motivate people
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Possess a high degree of people skills as he/she must motivate and influence others including those not under his/her direct supervision
  • Prior experience in quoting new business and working with commercial team
