Team Leader, Business Development Consultants

Job Description:
  • Ongoing support and development of assigned Team of Business Development Consultants
  • Work closely with Sales Leader, Business Development Consultants, and External Sales Teams to develop appropriate staffing models/assignments to support business growth
  • Work closely with Sales Leader to interview and hire new Sales Consultants and Sales Coordinators/Associates
  • Develops and administers the initial, and ongoing, training and development plans for Business Development Consultants
  • Conducts monthly and/or quarterly one-on-one check in meetings with each Business Development Consultants to review coaching needs, territory reviews, sales & productivity ideas, and ongoing training support
  • Conducts monthly and/or quarterly one-on-one check in meetings with each Regional Consultant to gather feedback, review coaching needs, territory reviews, sales & productivity ideas, and ongoing training support for their Internal Partner
  • Conduct group meetings to facilitate the promotion of idea sharing, best practices, peer training, and other best practices for the role
  • Gather feedback, ideas, and process improvements from the team and work closely with the Sales Leader and/or functional department to help implement
  • Assist in the development and rollout of marketing/sales plans
  • Work with other functional areas in the company to represent the Sales Team perspective and provide Sales Team Feedback
  • Work closely with other Sales Managers to develop and implement plans to increase production across the Team
  • Day-to-day management of assigned Business Development Consultants, including, but not limited to: sales phone queue management, timecards/PTO/daily staffing, primary point-of-contact for escalated questions, or advisor situations

Education & Experience:

  • BA or BS (4-year degree)
  • 4+ years of experience in the financial services industry
  • 2+ years in theAssetMarkNational Consultant or Business Development Consultant Roles
  • Experience in the AssetMark Sales Consultant Team Leader Role
  • Experience in Face-to-Face Sales
  • Extensive public speaking experience
  • Experience selling managed money platforms
  • Prior Salesforce.com experience
  • FINRAlicenses: Series 6, 63,and65 and/or Series 7 and 66

Compensation: The Base Salary range for this position is between $80,000-$100,000.

This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location.

This position will also be eligible for a comprehensive sales incentive package and competitive benefits.
