School Nurse

The Collaborative for Educational Services has an opening for a dynamic and dedicated School

Nurse who is interested in joining our experienced and committed team for the 2024-2025

school year. The school nurse will provide comprehensive school health services to HEC

Academy, a small, therapeutic special education program for youth in grades 9-12 who are

eligible to receive services via an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Our students typically

present with social-emotional challenges, learning disabilities, ADHD, Autism Spectrum

Disorder, and/or school refusal. The position will also provide consultative services to two other

programs.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Registered Nurse with valid Massachusetts license

* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

* DESE license as School Nurse (required within 1 year of hire)

Terms of Employment:

* 211 days, July - June

School Year:

(185) 7-hour days, Monday - Friday, August - June, per school year calendar

8:30AM - 4:00PM

Summer:

(26) 5-hour days, Monday - Friday, July - August

8:15AM - 1:15PM

* Occasionally requires afternoon or evening hours outside the scope of scheduled

working hours to meet the demands of the school and/or special education department,

including but not limited to: planning meetings, Open House, etc.

Salary range: $50,416.50 - $81,538.50 (Bachelor's Step 1 - Master's Step 12)
