Logistics Technician

Arconic is currently in search of Logistics Technician to join our Logistics Team based out of The Arconic Technology Center in New Kensington, PA.

Primary Responsibilities
  • This position is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of Logistic functions.
  • The candidate will collaborate with departmental areas to execute shipping requirements, material movement on campus, receipt and delivery of packages, and the inventory of metal within onsite warehouses.
  • The candidate shall have the ability to operate mobile equipment (fork truck), load and unload trucks, and ensure all safety protocols are followed to company and OSHA requirements.
Key Objectives
  • Physical shipping and receiving of product, including the ability to operate a fork truck.
  • Planning and scheduling within the BluJay logistics application.
  • Understating import and export regulations for the shipping/receiving of goods.
  • Processing of all necessary shipping and receiving documentation (bills of lading, packaging lists, commercial invoices, etc.), within Oracle business applications.
  • Performing the material receiving function within the Oracle EBS application.
  • Receiving, inventorying, labeling, delivering site chemicals, and understanding of hazardous material regulations.
  • Scanning incoming small packages, delivery and pick-up of mail and small packages to designated mail locations.
  • Delivery of palleted materials to designated building locations.
  • Assisting with metal inventory, scrap sales, and warehousing functions.
  • Maintaining appropriate levels of office supplies for the site and delivery to designated areas.
  • Inspecting site printers/copiers, troubleshooting problems, and interacting with equipment vendor for repair.
Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3 years of logistics experience
  • This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. *730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Authorizations from the relevant government agency may be required to meet export control compliance requirements.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3 years of logistics experience
