Job Summary Under general direction of Medical Director and supervision of one or more physicians, the Advance Practice Clinician (APC) functions independently within the scope of departmental and institutional policies and procedures. Provides health care, including acute episodic illness and/or injury, chronic disease management, and health maintenance, for patients of the University Health Services (UHS). Evaluates and treats common acute injuries and illness using guidelines and physician consultation by phone when necessary. Triages and refers patients to physicians any patient that require further evaluation. Provides these services for UHS patients and campus visitors. Essential Functions
