A little about this position:

  • Responsible for any and all snow cat grooming on June Mountain.
  • Oversees all operations of Slope Maintenance department including but not limited to equipment and employees.
  • Coordinates maintenance of any and all machines.
  • Provides scheduling of all Snow Cat Operators.
  • Responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of a rigorous training program.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of the Snow Cat fleet management system, including the development and implementation of reporting tools.
  • Manages construction projects, including the coordination of outside contractors.
  • Must manage fuel, wages and repair cost within budgetary guidelines set by department head.
  • Responsible for any or all other responsibilities as assigned.

Addendum: Specific Duties to Area of Responsibility
  • Slope Maintenance: Plan, organize, direct all grooming operations. Recruit, hire, train all staff. Manage two-three shifts nightly. Bruch cutting and summer slope maintenance. Hazard tree assessment, cutting and removal. Coordinates all equipment R&M with Mammoth mechanics. Create and manage associated budgets
  • Snowmaking: Plan, organize, direct all snowmaking operations, manage three shifts, order and maintaining all equipment, order and installing air compressors, oversight of new pump system and PUD Liaison for operation.
  • Terrain Park Building and Maintenance: Design and Build three parks, Bucky's Playground, Surprise Fun Zone, and Bunker Hill location. Designs, builds and maintains all features.
  • Snow Removal: Parking lot snow removal. Maintaining proper snow storage. Hires and Trains loader operator. Coordinate equipment R&M for Loader, blower, and attachments
  • Erosion Control: Erosion prevention SOP compliance. Water samples. Orders and installs erosion pump system when necessary. Cleans out all collection ponds and drainage ditches. Rebuilds and maintains all on-mtn. roads and culverts
  • Hazmat management: Follows current regulations for hazmat storage. Works with county inspectors for site inspections. Order and stock all vehicle fluids and chemicals. Coordinates hazmat removal and reporting with vendors
  • Heavy Equipment Operator: Loader, Excavator, Masticator, Brush Mower, Water truck, Skid steer, Rock truck

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have 3-4 years of Snow Cat experience
  • 2-3 years of management experience preferred
  • Must be flexible for work hours including day shift, swing shift, and grave shift
  • Possession of a commercial driving license, including HAZMAT endorsements

Pay: $75,601.32 - $80,213.49 per year
