    Medica is currently seeking a St. Louis Market Leader to develop and execute strategic growth plans and establish Medica's brand to lead our Commercial product segment's regional growth and retention strategies. Our Market Leader will build and enhance relationships with providers, brokers, community partners and members.

    Key Accountabilities Include:



    • Preparing market for product entry
    • Identifying market threats, opportunities, trends, new entrants (product or competitor) and providing feedback to local and corporate leaders
    • Understanding the needs of the market through monitoring and analyzing competitor behavior, pricing structure, performance, strategy, and product offerings
    • Supporting achievement of annual revenue and growth targets for each product line
    • Developing strong relationships with the broker community and educating them on Medica's brand, mission, vision, and values in addition to product and network benefits
    • Developing relationships with key providers and assists the Network Management team with building networks and ACO partnerships
    • Identifying opportunities to create unique and strategic partnerships with employer organizations
    • Leading the identification, prioritization, initiation and evaluation of relationships with various stakeholders throughout the market's service area
    • Coordinating with sales, marketing, and segment leaders on the outreach strategy for the market


    Prioritization and collaboration across the enterprise as well as external key stakeholders is critical to our success. This requires direct (sales) and indirect (matrix) leadership of all internal and external teams working on behalf of the region.

    We are seeking candidates who currently reside in St. Louis, MO.

    Qualifications:



    • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or finance or equivalent experience
    • 10+ years of leadership experience in a health plan, care system, or broker agency
    • 5+ years of experience directly managing staff, including the ability to attract, hire, train, and develop a high performing team
    • Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with commercial products strongly preferred
    • A demonstrated successful track record of managing customer, provider, or broker relationships of varying sizes, locations, complexities, and sophistication
    • Market knowledge of the St. Louis area

    Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data. In addition to base compensation, this position may be eligible for incentive plan compensation in addition to base salary.
