This is a remote home office location. If candidate location is within a commutable distance to a DaVita Central Business Office the role will work a hybrid schedule.

Here is what you can expect as a Sr. Manager of Privacy Operations at DaVita:

Reporting to the Director of Privacy Operations, the Sr. Manager Privacy Operations will support the activities of the Privacy Operations function within the DaVita Privacy Office. Privacy Operations is responsible for drafting and reviewing DaVita's privacy policies, overseeing the privacy training program, and serving as a thought and innovation partner to DaVita business' and corporate functions as they implement new initiatives.

The Sr. Manager, Privacy Operations primary focus will be supporting the Company's internal privacy operations by developing and strengthening DaVita's privacy program.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Policy & procedures drafting and review

  • Managing the training & awareness program

  • Managing the privacy notice program - including website privacy

  • Assist with privacy risk assessments and audit readiness

  • Assist with new privacy regulation implementation

  • Program and process improvement

  • Assist in leading Privacy Operations projects

  • Work closely with the Privacy attorneys to receive and coordinate legal guidance needed to operationalize important initiatives and requirements

Experience & Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a business, technology or healthcare field

  • At least 5 years of experience in privacy is required

  • Experience developing or enhancing a privacy program is desired

  • A CIPP or CIPM certification is preferable

  • Experience in health care is desired

  • Legal experience or a J.D. is desired, but not required

  • Compliance, audit or assessment experience is a plus

  • Strong organizational and project management skills with demonstrated attention to detail

  • Solid technology skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Critical thinking and decision making skills, with the ability to quickly determine issues that need escalation

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (including presentations) and the ability to drive execution in a team environment

  • Possesses strong work ethic and humor; able to work well under pressure and manage priorities in a fast moving, dynamic company.

Salary/ Wage Range

$100,100.00-$147,000.00 / year

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
