About the Role:

The Customer Project Specialist performs project management, quote review, and a variety of engineering work in the planning and design of products and production processes. Oversees fabrication to ensure compliance to industry codes, customer specifications, delivery schedules and company requirements for quality and profitability.

Your Responsibilities:



  • Translates technical guidance received into usable engineering data, to design Silos and Vessels that meet customer's needs
  • Uses established and well-defined engineering procedures in gathering and correlating basic engineering data to manage jobs
  • Reviews price estimates and delivery commitments for potential new jobs
  • Performs detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations to plan and prepare product design and specifications for layout
  • Interface directly with customers regarding company engineering and production capabilities, provide technical information, and coordinate completion and delivery of products to meet their timeline
  • Designs and completes layout of projects to provide blueprint information to drafting which ensures timely correspondence with customer for approval
  • Provides guidance and assistance to drafters and checks drawings for accuracy as required
  • Oversees and coordinates the production of assigned projects to ensure compliance with established procedures and delivery schedules
  • Troubleshoots problems to expedite fabrication
  • Makes changes in methods, design, or equipment where necessary for continued cost reduction
  • Inputs all appropriate detail and Bill-of-Material in SAP to facilitate production of products
  • Assists the Warranty Manager to evaluate customer's claims and potential resolutions
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
  • Maintains an orderly and safe work environment
  • Other duties as assigned


Let's Talk About Your Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (Preferred Major: Mechanical Engineering) highly preferred
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in design and fabrication of stainless steel or sheet metal products, in industries related to food, dairy, beverage, pharmaceutical, transportation
  • Able to work comfortably and multitask in a very fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Ability to read and approve CAD detail drawings
  • Good written and verbal skills to communicate with customers and manufacturing associates
