Sunoco LP is a leading energy infrastructure and fuel distribution master limited partnership operating across 47 U.S. states, Puerto Rico, Europe, and Mexico. The Partnership's midstream operations include an extensive network of approximately 9,500 miles of pipeline and over 100 terminals. This critical infrastructure complements the Partnership's fuel distribution operations, which serve approximately 10,000 convenience stores, independent dealers, commercial customers, and distributors.

This role has a current pay range of $125,000 - $148,000. The listed pay range represents the company's good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum base rate of pay for this position at the time of this posting. The selected candidate's compensation will be determined based on their work location, qualifications, relevant experience, operational needs, demonstrated performance over time, and internal pay alignment. Summary:

Support company goals and objectives related to safety, emergency response, Industrial Hygiene, regulatory compliance, safety auditing, contractor safety, and training. This position will focus on Hazardous and Non-Hazardous waste management and industrial stormwater/wastewater management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Subject matter expertise in the oversight of Hazardous and Non-Hazardous waste management, industrial stormwater and wastewater management.

    * Coordinate and oversee environmental field testing, including but not limited to waste water and storm water sampling, Hazardous and Non-Hazardous waste management oversight.

    * Maintains current knowledge of existing and proposed environmental regulations of the local, state and federal jurisdictions, including but not limited to the Clean Water Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, Toxic Substance Control Act, and Federal Oil Pollution Act.

    * Respond to emergency call-outs and perform assigned incident management team duties

    * Assist field operations with program supervision of waste disposal, general waste management and all waste related reporting requirements.

    * Assist field operations with program supervision of wastewater, industrial storm water and all industrial storm water reporting requirements.

    * Assist field operations in agency inspections and internal audits.

    * Coordinate and conduct HES training and help implement HES-Management System

    * Implement new HES regulations.

    * Ensure field HES compliance.

    * Liaison between field/corporate/local agencies

    * Lead regional HES waste and industrial storm water compliance teams.

    * Follow SUNOCO LP employee policy and procedures, especially communication policy and drug testing policy.

    * Be a team player and demonstrate respect towards teammates.

    * Participate in Initial 40-hr Hazwoper training and annual 8-hr refresher training




Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:



  • Bachelor's degree is required. A degree in Environmental Science; Physical Science; Chemical or Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in the environmental multimedia, environment. Overall understanding of terminal, pipeline, and refinery operations and applicable regulations. Knowledge of Hazardous & Non Hazardous Waste, RCRA Waste, Industrial Wastewater, Industrial Storm Water Permitting and Occupational Health and Safety regulations.

  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally



  • Driving, walking, and standing frequently



  • Exposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions and some heavy lifting



  • Visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment



  • Occasional overnight travel may be required
