Job Summary:

The Environmental Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring applicable product registrations are properly applied for and approved per state and federal regulations. This position is also responsible for the timely submission of Tier II Chemical Inventory Reports and Hazardous Materials Business Plans for affected locations per federal, state and local municipality requirements. In addition, this position is responsible to collect and report ESG data streams for our facilities worldwide.

Responsibilities:

  • Researches and analyzes state and federal requirements for product registration guidelines to conduct pesticide product registrations.

  • Collects and analyzes private label registration data to establish and maintain state restrictions in operational systems. (QC/QA)

  • Collects and analyzes chemical inventory reports from each sales center to properly submit required reporting per established deadlines.

  • Maintains inventories of SDS (Safety Data Sheets) for all required products.

  • Maintains and updates chemical descriptions within company operating systems for required Department of Transportation (DOT) shipping paperwork.

  • Collects, analyzes, and prepares reports on ESG data streams for our locations worldwide.

  • Collaborates with ESG Reporting Committee to ensure deadlines for deliverables.

  • Effectively works with various company departments to ensure products are being properly established per company set protocol.

  • Performs Quality Control /Quality Assurance Audits in areas of responsibility.

  • Assists with day to day management of environmental contracts, sustainability projects and vendor compliance Quality Assurance initiatives.

  • Assists with various governmental agency inspections that are performed at company locations.

  • Assists in department responsibilities.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Experience with Tier II and CUPA Hazardous Materials Business Plan submittals.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Possess strong computer skills including proficiency in MS Office software, especially MS Excel.

  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
