Role Summary: The role is responsible to coordinate technical fleet compliance reports for VW Group in US and Canadian markets. This includes ensuring that all the technical data are collected, assembled, verified and validated prior to submission to regulatory agencies. This position also participates in regulatory monitoring and development of environmental/emissions regulations for mobile sources. Role Responsibilities: Compliance Reporting (60%) * Supports working teams between EEO and the VW Brands in Europe for the creation and verification of compliance reporting data * Leads the compilation, validation and reporting activities Fleet Compliance reports (e.g., Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV), Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE), Greenhouse Gas (GHG)) to US Federal and State Agencies (e.g., CARB) for VW Group in accordance with all regulatory requirements * Inputs VW Group compliance data into government databases * Submits VW Group compliance reports to the applicable Federal and State Agencies * Supports VW Group Canada in Fleet Compliance reporting for applicable Federal and Canadian provinces * Maintains Averaging Banking and Trading of Credit mechanisms of various fleet compliance mandates, including assisting in credit trading discussions * Performs multi-eye reviews of data submitted for various Fleet Emission Compliance reports (e.g., NMOG + NOx, Criteria Pollutants, Canadian Fuel Consumption Guide (VEERR)) * Communicates the US and Canadian Fleet compliance status to internal stakeholders in the US, Canada and Europe * Supports data pulls for reporting * Tracks US Federal and State EV Incentives incl. creation of tax incentive applications Regulatory Monitoring and Development (30%) Performs the following regulatory activities under the guidance of EEO's Lead R-VKO (regional regulatory coordinator): * Participates in regulatory monitoring and development topics with focus on Compliance reporting related regulations (e.g., GHG, CAFE, ZEV) * Interacts with internal Volkswagen Group stakeholders to help coordinate and establish technical positions related to future regulations and associated test procedures * Conducts in-depth reviews of complex regulations as needed to develop well documented interpretations * Participates in relevant technical working groups and policy activities to represent the interests of the VWGoA * Supports the development of premise documents Cross-departmental and Special Projects (10%) * Supports other teams with reporting requirements, e.g., o Updates and maintains Emissions Defect Reporting (EDR) database o Gathers data and creates EWIR (Emission Warranty Information Report) quarterly reports for the Audi/VW/Bentley and Lamborghini brands * Creates reporting templates and process documentation for compliance reports * Supports special projects with focus on fleet compliance and strategy * Supports the compiling, validating and reporting of data for VW AG's Decarbonization Index (DKI) report Qualifications
