Macmillan Children's Publishing Group (MCPG) is seeking an innovative Digital Marketing Manager to join our dynamic team to create and execute strategic and engaging social media and email marketing campaigns.

The ideal candidate is a successful copywriter and content creator, who is a creative thinker and deeply interested in current and developing trends in social media and digital marketing. A love for children's literature is a bonus.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Digital Marketing Manager will work closely with the entire Marketing and Publicity team and play a critical role in the success of MCPG's lineup of bestselling and award-winning titles and authors.

What you'll do:



  • Manage the MCPG social communities, including the Fierce Reads, First Second, Macmillan Children's TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, X, and more
  • Develop engaging social media content with a focus on driving channel-specific KPIs
  • Create and execute paid and organic social media campaigns
  • Execute partnerships with social media creators and influencers
  • Write copy and organize content for email marketing campaigns
  • Manage and update community and brand websites
  • Create and maintain content calendars
  • Analyze, review, and report on campaign performance, using metrics to inform future strategy decisions
  • Maintain a vast understanding of competitive brands in the publishing industry, as well as the overall children's, teen, and entertainment markets
  • Identify the latest trends in social media and digital marketing
  • Provide the marketing team with social media best practice policies
  • Serve as integral support to the Director of Marketing, helping with the development of internal and external staff, department operations, and overall strategy
  • Manage a direct report


What you'll bring:



  • Proven knowledge of digital marketing and social media platforms
  • Proven success in executing social media strategy
  • Strong interest in analyzing data and turning it into actionable insights
  • Strategy-oriented with the ability to think creatively
  • Creative copy writing abilities
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
  • Detailed-oriented and well-organized
  • Able to manage multiple projects
  • Ability to learn new programs and be flexible within a changing marketplace
  • Experience in book marketing a plus, but not required


Ideal Experience:



  • Three to five years years professional experience in social media and/or digital marketing
  • Experience developing social media and digital content
  • Understanding of social media and digital analytics
  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics and Adobe Creative Suite programs a plus
  • HTML experience helpful
  • Bachelor's degree required


This role will have an annual salary of $70,000-$78,000.
