Ansell is looking for an Industrial Sales Territory Manager located within Tennessee to join our team!

The Territory Manager is responsible for developing, maintaining, and growing Territory-level sales of all Industrial, Single Use and Body Protection products to end user customers. Additional responsibility for special assignments such as field training of new Territory Managers, assisting in market tests and market potential surveys. What your role will be?

Represent the company to our customers in a competent and ethical manner as the company's first line of defense against competitive actions and act as our eyes and ears in the marketplace. Effectively capture marketplace activities, competitive actions, end user and distributor problems and opportunities.


  • Set and implement Territory & Region growth plan to achieve defined Ansell strategic objectives.
  • Identify and convert Territory-level new business opportunities and conversion of competitive products to Ansell Protective Products.
  • Maintain an open opportunity pipeline of >$1.2m.
  • Close >$1m in new business opportunities per annum.
  • Ownership of Territory-level relationships with Tier I & II distributor sales representatives.
  • Ownership of Tier III distributor HQ and business growth plans.
  • Maintain superior business relationships with key end users.
  • Identify, penetrate, and convert Territory-level National Account opportunities.
  • Become an expert at utilizing and leveraging Ansell Guardian.
  • Introduce new Ansell Protective products and programs.
  • Travel: up to 50%.

What will this role look like in detail?


  • Distributor Motivation & Development
    • Develop an accelerated rate of growth for the designated top ten industrial account group and key commercial market distributors.
    • Motivate distributor salespeople to promote Ansell Protective Products and actively sell distributors on new products, promotional programs, and pricing policies.
    • Develop the multiplier effect by working with distributor salespeople to train them in product knowledge and Ansell Protective Products sales techniques.
  • End User Penetration
    • Territory Managers are responsible for pull through of products based on effective end user sales calls, utilizing the pre-structured sales call technique.
    • Consistently make face to face calls on key accounts as part of a planned travel cycle to maintain business and develop new volume.
    • Follow up on user inquiries in an effective manner.
  • Territory Management
    • Maintain adequate records on all distributors and end user accounts.
    • Contract creation and administration, maintain the database throughout the year as new contracts are created and existing contracts are renewed or cancelled on a timely basis.
    • Salesforce is our (CRM) Customer Relationship system of record. It is the responsibility of the Territory Manager to update and maintain all customer information, top customer activities, new opportunity pipeline and key closes in Salesforce in a timely manner.
    • Periodically conduct a complete review of distribution.
    • Conduct territory business within expense budget.
    • Submit written reports as required and effectively transmit field information to the home office.
    • Handle special assignments as directed by the Regional Sales Manager.

What will you bring to Ansell?


  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum three years field sales experience with proven record of success. Industrial, consumer products, food service or PPE sales experience working through distributors preferred
  • Experience in developing and executing territory sales strategies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, experience with Salesforce or similar CRM program highly preferred
  • High level of organizational and time management skills
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others
  • Familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management
  • Ability to travel up to 50% and reside within Tennessee
