Assistant Professor, History of Architecture 38005BR Architecture Position Description Contributes to the university's mission through teaching, research and service, some variation by academic unit. The Huckabee College of Architecture (HCOA) at Texas Tech University invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track position in the History of Architecture at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin in Fall 2025. About the Department/School/Area About Lubbock: Major/Essential Functions The successful candidate will teach core surveys in global architectural history and elective seminars at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. A Ph.D. is required by the time of appointment. The area of research specialization is open. The History of Architecture at the HCOA is regarded as a broad, evolving discipline embracing a diverse range of topics and methodologies. Expectations for research and creative activity include publications, presentations, and exhibitions in national and international peer-reviewed venues, seeking external funding, and supporting students. Service activities include participation in college committees, university service, professional service, and community service and engagement.
