About This Role: The Physician Assistant (PA) Program, within the College of Health and Human Sciences, is looking to hire a Clinical Recruiter to join their team. In coordination with the clinical team, this position will be responsible for recruiting and retaining clinical year preceptors and clinical sites; assisting in the development of marketing materials; visiting and making presentations to medical providers and institutions; and planning and overseeing the operational and administrative activities of the clinical phase. This position will report to the Clinical Director. Additional duties include, but are not limited to:
- Participate in the development of preceptor recruitment and retention plans, strategies, and written materials
- Assist in developing annual SWOT analysis of territorial competitors, opportunities and best practices to effectively recruit preceptors and clinical sites, sharing with clinical director for incorporation into overall marketing strategy
- Visit hospital and clinic administrative staff, human resource offices, etc., to promote outreach activities and arrange visits with prospective clinical preceptors
- Serve as liaison to develop partnerships between the Program and medical institutions, colleges, and places of employment throughout Kansas and beyond
- Create and maintain a database of prospective and current preceptors and potential clinical sites
- Create and distribute resource materials for preceptor and clinical site recruitment and retention programs
- Analyze trends in recruitment and retention programs and develop strategies for program evaluation
- Prepare reports and proposals, perform follow-up activities, and respond to inquiries from students, prospective and active preceptors, and clinical sites
- Participate in the admissions process by reviewing application materials
- Assist students with the completion of onboarding requirements for clinical rotation sites
- Work with the clinical team to coordinate student placement at clinical sites
- Conduct interviews with students to assess their needs, goals, and choices of clinical rotation sites
- Conduct and document a review of the clinical section of ARC-PA's portal each semester

Worksite Options: This position is required to be performed on-site. Work is performed on employer premises or designated assignment location. However, frequent travel throughout Kansas and the surrounding states is required as this position must travel to set up clinical sites through visiting clinics, hospitals, places of employment, medical conferences, etc. to meet and communicate with prospective clinical preceptor groups and/or individuals. What You'll Need to Succeed: Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- Three years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in education, business, or health-related field of study
- 4-5 years of experience in a medical administrative environment, other healthcare-related field, or education
- Ability to analyze success/failures and basic percentages to set self-goals and objectives
- Skilled in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures
- Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals
- Ability to plan and evaluate programs, analyze course prerequisites, certification, and/or curriculum/graduation requirements
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations
- Knowledge of student recruitment and retention issues
- Knowledge of configuration and use of computerized database programs
- Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organizational and coordinating skills
- Self-starter who is accountable and works well without direct supervision
