Overview
St. John Fisher University is an independent, liberal arts institution that provides a transformative education to approximately 3,800 undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students each year. Across its five Schools, Fisher offers nearly 40 majors in the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, business, education, and nursing; 11 pre-professional programs; and master's and doctoral programs in business, nursing, education, pharmacy, and public health. Job Responsibilities
Assessment Office and Accreditation:
*Assists with maintenance of the SoE databases (faculty, staff, candidates, courses, committees) for accreditation.
*Assists with data entry for: field experience evaluations, student teaching evaluations, New York State test scores, practicum evaluations, capstone (research) rubrics, internship evaluations, and other assessment systems etc. that is required for accreditation.
*Assists with developing and sharing surveys
*Runs reports (Access, Excel, and Banner)
*Coordinates the logistics and develop, collect, copy and distribute materials, etc. for the Assessment Committee and assessment meetings with chairs, directors, and others
General Office and faculty Support:
*Greets and assist students, faculty, staff, and community members
*Coordinates catering and other services as needed for the School
*Creates and maintain organized digital archive and file system
*Attends off campus events as required or on campus after hours events
*Works with assistant to the dean to plan and execute special events for the School
*Orders office supplies and maintain office areas
*Coordinates logistics for meetings and events
*Takes and distribute faculty meeting minutes
*Answers and direct incoming phone calls
*Assists in the gathering, typing, editing, and distribution of SoE materials
*Provides Support to department chairs
*Maintains and update Student records as far as Cohorts, Transcripts and Initial Certification Applications
*Assigns advisors in Banner and monitor that with DUIE Chair
*Maintains Cohort Information in preparation for graduation ( GEDA requirements and Grad Initial Certification requirements)
*Provides support to the Dean, Associate Dean, Director of Clinical Practice and Assessment Coordinator.
Teacher Certification Responsibility:
*Updates and maintain the most current NYSed requirements for certifications across programs *Presents to undergraduate classes about the TEACH process from start to finish
*Collects authorization forms and verify DASA training
*Enters in college recommendations for certification
*Reviews TEACH accounts on request of students to answer any questions they have
*Maintains the education Certification email address account
*Verifies if certification was received by the students and what type of certification they received ( CAEP Requirement)
Student/Academic Responsibility:
* Enters SoE advisor into Banner for each student
*Coordinates with dean, chairs, Admissions and registrar's office
Cross Campus Service:
*Collaborates with the Career and Academic Planning, Admissions, and Registrar and offices for specific school needs
*Coordinates with other offices across campus as needed
*Picks up items from print center
*Delivers faculty and staff mail
Other Duties Assigned
*Responsible for additional duties as assigned by the dean
Education / Experience
Minimum Associate Degree, Bachelor's Degree preferred or significant experience
required. Office experience in higher education is desirable.

Competencies / Skills
Applicants should have: Basic computer skills
Familiarity with common computer office programs (e.g. Microsoft office, Adobe, internet)
Ability to learn new computer-based applications
Prior working knowledge of basic office/teaching machinery (e.g. copiers/printers, scanners, projectors, classroom podiums)

Full time/12 months/35 hours a week/may be required to work overtime if needed
