The primary purpose of this job is to verify compliance with a variety of customer and internal quality system requirements by performing methodical and detailed process, documentation and product audits. Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned)
- Perform detailed audits on production records for compliance to business procedures.
- Provide quality assistance related to procedures, practices and/or requirements to Customers, Engineering, Quality, Operations & Planning which includes administrative functions in
- Quality software systems and management of customer information.
- Approve and release product in accordance with TI QC-27.
- Perform & assist in various internal, external, customer audits & maintenance of databases.
- Review, audit and understand processing of fixed practices.
Education Required
- 2-year degree in a related field OR equivalent combination of coursework and or experience.
Experience Required
- Three years of experience in a combination of the following:
- Quality systems/functional experience,
- Decision-making around customer requirements,
- Melting, forging, or conversion manufacturing experience.
- Demonstrated comfort and success in and around a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities typically required to perform the essential functions of this job. Knowledge of:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, and Power Point at a minimum) required to accomplish day-to-day work activities and willingness to learn additional programs.
- Sufficient knowledge of company, products, objectives, and operations.
- Metals melting processes - Vacuum induction melt, electroslag remelt, vacuum arc remelt a plus.
- Continuous improvement tools; Five Why, Risk Assessment and Abatement, etc. a plus.
- Oracle, Maximo, etc. experience a plus.
Skilled in:
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management and prioritization skills.
- Exceptional analytical and critical thinking capabilities.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
Ability to:
- Effectively communicate (written & verbal) with production and technical personnel.
- Successfully balance work tasks at various stages with limited supervision in a fast-paced, environment.
- Apply broad-based technical knowledge and skills in order to complete complex project assignments.
- Work independently, as well as with and through others, to achieve desired results.
