DATA ARCHITECT

Crystal Management is seeking an experienced Data Architect to join our team on a full-time basis to provide unparalleled support to our US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) customer on the Construction Management Platform (CMP) modernization effort. The CMP program is an effort to modernize a legacy construction management system (Resident Management System - RMS) to a new COTS-based suite of tools operating in a FedRAMP-compliant cloud environment. CMP interfaces with multiple USACE systems.

Responsibilities



  • Design and implement effective database solutions and models to store and retrieve data.
  • Create necessary integration and interfaces to share and retrieve data with other systems
  • Examine and identify database structural necessities by evaluating client operations, applications, and programming.
  • Assess database implementation procedures to ensure they comply with internal and external regulations.
  • Prepare accurate database design and architecture reports/recommendations for management
  • Oversee the migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions that utilize a modern data-centric architecture that aligns with US Federal, DoD, Army, and USACE IT strategies and policies.
  • Recommend solutions to improve new and existing database systems and interfaces, to include cloud-based solutions
  • Develop a Data Migration approach that incorporates a development and test environment to validate the Data Integration and Data Exchange of any new system.
  • Analyzing users' stories and/or use cases/requirements for validity and feasibility.
  • Collaborate closely with other team members and departments
  • Apply quality engineering principles throughout the Agile product lifecycle
  • Provide support and documentation
  • Other duties as assigned



Education/Certification Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in a computer discipline or relevant certification with equivalent experience required.
  • DoD 8570 compliant IAT Level 2 baseline certification (e.g., CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP) or higher certification required within 6 months



Qualification Requirements



  • Minimum of 7+ years of similar proven working experience
  • Strong knowledge of database structured systems and data management
  • Familiarity with programming languages APIs, RESTful, and SOAP
  • Database experience required
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to think algorithmically
  • Working knowledge of test management software and SQL
  • Ability to remotely work productively



Clearance Requirements



  • Must be a US Citizen and to obtain Secret security clearance.
