Job Summary

Responds to telephone and email requests from consumers, referring physicians, health plans and other customers seeking assistance with selection of a UCSF Medical Center Primary Care Physician or Specialist. Duties include marketing the UCSF services, facilitating referrals, maintaining accurate data files, generating reports and correspondence.

Assists Referral Liaisons with mailings, collect and updating patient referral information in a database for referral and marketing reports. Also assists the Administrative Analyst with the on-going maintenance of the referring physician database records for the Referral Service in accordance with established policy and procedures, creation and production of reports analyzing records missing license and demographic information, gathering and verifying data from medical staff and medical boards and then updating accurately and on a timely basis the database which interfaces with the medical center's scheduling, billing and correspondence systems.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $29.03 - $41.55 (Hourly Rate).

Required Qualifications

* High school graduation and four years of related administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
* Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service orientation.
* Ability to perform increasingly challenging administrative tasks within a complex organization with minimal supervision, and exercise good judgment to identify and handle sensitive and confidential issues and assignments with discretion.
* Ability to manage several projects at once in a fast-paced work environment.
* Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.
* This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with UCSF Medical Center.
* Echo database and Salesforce authorization database experience.
