This position will work a hybrid schedule which includes a combination of working both onsite at Towne Centre Drive and remote. This position will remain open until filled. The Jacobs Center for Health Innovation at UC San Diego Health seeks an experienced Health Innovation Grants and Development Officer to lead our efforts in securing funding through grants, philanthropic efforts, and business development opportunities. This role requires a professional with a deep understanding of the healthcare innovation field, capable of independently performing a wide range of responsibilities from conceptualization to execution of funding strategies. The successful candidate will possess a robust knowledge base, exceptional analytical skills, and the creativity to navigate and secure diverse funding sources for health innovation projects. Examples of organizations we would submit grants to are: Federal Agencies: National Institutes of Health (NIH), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Science Foundation (NSF), Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Department of Commerce (DOC, Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) State Agencies: California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM), New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) Private Organizations: Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, The Pew Charitable Trusts, Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI), The Ford Foundation Responsibilities:
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $85,400 - $156,800 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $40.90 - $75.10 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable). |
