The Briya Adult Education Mental Health Therapist is responsible for the coordination of service delivery to clients with mental health concerns and for providing the following core services including, but not limited to, the Adult Education setting: diagnosis and assessment, counseling and psychotherapy, community support services, and group activities supporting mental health, awareness, and intervention. This may include providing support and training to teachers and administrators by raising awareness of mental health on a broader level to de-stigmatize mental health issues, supporting students to attend school regularly by reducing barriers to attendance, and making regular connections to Social Services supports. Candidates for this role who bring experience connecting with communities of color are strongly encouraged to apply. This position serves primarily a Spanish speaking community, and a clinician bilingual in English and Spanish is required for the role. Reportability The Briya Adult Education Mental Health Therapist will report directly to a Senior Clinical Manager or a Clinical Supervisor in the Behavioral Health Clinic and will work alongside the team at Briya Public Charter School. This is a unique position in that it is a clinical position based in a school for adults. Language Requirement - Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish is required. Physical Demands - Regularly required to sit; frequently required to reach with hands and arms, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear; must be able to lift objects up to twenty-five (25) pounds. Work Environment - Mostly in a typical office within a Briya school site and perhaps at times in a home setting, with quiet to moderate noise level. The position is a hybrid position working in several Briya and Mary's Center locations and sometimes providing teletherapy. Employee will be required travel to all Briya sites as needed. May be exposed to extreme cold, heat, and humidity due to outside weather conditions. The Benefits:
Compensation: $78,000/year for fully licensed providers (LICSW and LPC). $75,000/year for master's level licensed providers (LGSW and LGPC). We are offering a $2000 sign on bonus for bilingual providers |
