The opportunity

Southern New Hampshire University is currently seeking a student employment for our campus location to assist SETA's Dean's Office with ongoing projects and events. They will work with the Assistant Dean of SETA and the Office Manager to collaborate between departments within SETA and with campus stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Dean's Office of SETA with projects
  • Help with preparation, set up and take down for Academic events
  • Compose articles for a SETA newsletter
  • Support SETA Peer Study Sessions
  • Clean/organize SETA building classrooms
  • Provide operational and technical support by learning skills such as 3D printing, laser printing, and more
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Enrollment in an Undergraduate or Graduate Day program at SNHU
  • Work Study as part of their financial aid package
  • Students with Federal Work Study may be prioritized
  • Must be in good academic standing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of SETA and programs

Learning Outcomes:

  • Improve writing abilities and understand how formal communications are designed and implemented
  • Build better relationships through peer to peer interaction, team meetings, and event planning
  • Understand the steps of project management- from creation to completion
  • Gain the soft skills needed to work in a fast paced environment and collaborate across departments

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this position is $12.00 - $15.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
