Overview of the role

The Construction Coordinator role supports the WSI Construction team to organize and implement the various projects associated with WSI Store Development including construction planning, delineation of scope and pricing exercises.

Responsibilities



  • Serves as point person on specific construction projects and initiatives.
  • Assists in preparation and submission of Capital Expenditure work order requests approvals.
  • Works with external architects and consultants to meet cost, schedule, and quality expectations for each project.
  • Maintains and issues weekly construction calendars and reports.
  • Manage all store warranty issues one year post opening.
  • Maintains and renews contact lists of consultants, superintendents and external business partners.
  • Prepares project packages for Store Development leadership.
  • Issues and tracks GC Work authorization documentation
  • Transmits project information received from real estate at initial transmittal for design layout, constructability, correct scope, and cost.
  • Vendor management and use of WSI construction/financial software and interface for timely approvals of proposals, contracts, change orders and invoices.
  • Support finance and project managers on project reconciliation and closeout process Contributes to innovative work environments that support and react to changes in business needs.
  • Conduct miscellaneous administrative tasks including but not limited to copies, note taking, distribution of notes and fielding of calls and questions.

  • Bachelor's Degree (in Construction Management, Architecture or Interior Design preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in design or construction-related field
  • Ability to read architectural drawings and plans, as well as detailed material shop drawings
  • The ability to collect data and create documents to effectively track and communicate
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint (MS Office), Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat), and Construction Project/Scheduling Software, Blue Beam
  • Familiarity with design and construction including knowledge of project phases and building materials
  • Superior organizational skills & proficient problem solver
  • Attention to detail and clear communication

The expected starting pay range for this position is $70,000. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.
