Job Description:

The payroll assistant will assist with bi-weekly payroll, maintaining employee time records and verifying employee records. This position provides a diverse range of payroll support to the finance and human resources team.

Responsibilities include:



  • Assist with processing the payroll of employees in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Act as payroll backup in absence of payroll manager.
  • Assist with reviewing timesheets for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with posting timesheets.
  • Stay up to date with changes in payroll regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations regarding payroll.
  • QAQC employee payroll information entered in the ERP system such as withholdings, address changes and salaries.
  • Provide support in answering employee inquiries about payroll.
  • Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing.
  • Participate collaboratively with finance and human resources teams.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Requirements:



  • High school diploma/GED.
  • Two years of experience in payroll preferred.
  • Knowledge of state and federal payroll regulations.
  • Proficiency in payroll software or ability to quickly learn payroll software.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and complete tasks within a tight deadline.
  • High school diploma/GED.
  • Two years of experience in payroll preferred.



Physical Requirements:



  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.



After an offer of employment is made, the candidate must successfully pass a pre- employment background check, drug screening, and a DMV records check that meets WEST's minimum criteria to operate a motor vehicle on behalf of the company. A valid driver's license will be required.
