AUSGAR Technologies has an exciting opportunity for an Operations Analyst to join our team of smart and innovative technical team members.

Note: This opportunity can be located in Pax River, Maryland, Norfolk, Virginia or San Diego, California and is remote.

Serve as an Operations Analyst to support the Navy's Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program as a member of the SBIR Experimentation Cell. Assist Small businesses maneuver the processes associates with testing and experimentation and the creation of valid and operationally testable problem statements, hypothesis, experimental objectives, test criteria and all associated planning/reporting materials. Facilitate, mentor and train customers on Data Collection and Analysis Plans (DCAPs), Final Analysis and Final Experiment Reports for table-top events, Limited Technical Assessments, Limited Objective Experiments and live forces events. Specialize in planning/development of data collection, analysis and reporting in support of Naval Experimentation activities.

  • Must have an active Secret clearance.
  • Experience with NAVAL concepts and/or ships strategic & tactical functions, naval operations at the operational and tactical level of war, as would be gained from experience working with U.S. Navy operating forces such as a numbered Fleet headquarters, Maritime Operations Center, carrier or expeditionary strike group staff, Navy tactical training group staff or Warfighting Development Center.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical or research field of study, such as Engineering or Physical Sciences with coursework in decision analytics, data analytics, applied statistics, applied mathematics or operations research from an accredited college/university and 5+ years of related experience.
  • Experience with Department of Defense/military experimentation, wargaming, modeling and simulation and/or test and evaluation.
  • Experience in scientific research: Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) or Industrial Psychology.
  • Experience in survey methodology and quantitative research.
  • Experience in applied statistics or data analytics, knowledge of linear regression, binary choice models, matching, resampling and missing data imputation.
  • Experience with analysis planning, test issue resolution, post-test data analysis or scientific research.
  • Experience with developing data collection and analysis methodologies to ensure that all test data collected is of enough quantity, quality and relevancy to meet test objectives.
  • Ability to analyze, summarize and report on technical and conceptual collected data.
  • Ability to train customers on creating Data Collection and Analysis Plan (DCAP).
  • Ability to document findings of experimental events and prepare recommendations for implementation of new systems, procedures or organizational changes.
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, tools and procedures within the scientific and experimental research community.
  • Knowledge of mathematics, statistical and engineering methods in determining solutions to complex problems.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team essential.
  • Military experience (O-1/5, E7-9) preferred.

Salary range: $100K-$130K

An essential qualification for this position is successfully obtaining a Secret security clearance issued by the Federal Government, which may require successful completion of a background check.

AUSGAR's salary range is dependent upon a variety of factors, which include experience, skills, education, certifications and geographical location. Our salary range includes a base salary and excellent benefits package as part of our total compensation.
