Position description

The Computational Diagnostics lab at UCLA is seeking a researcher to join as a Postdoctoral Scholar to lead and collaborate on the development of machine learning methods applied to biomedical data. The successful candidate will work closely with Dr. Corey Arnold and a cross-disciplinary team of faculty, staff, and trainees. Individuals with expertise in digital pathology, radiology, spatial transcriptomics, and time series modeling are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities:

* Lead independent research projects and support collaborative projects.

* Author scientific publications and grant proposals.

* Supervise trainees and maintain research infrastructure.

* Comply with UCLA guidelines for lab safety, animal research, and human subject research.

* Develop and update standard operating procedures and best practices for research projects.

* Communicate effectively with team members, present findings and progress both verbally and in writing.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications

* PhD in engineering, computer science, or related field.

Additional qualifications

* Expertise in the development and application of machine learning methods.

* A track record of publications as first author.

* Experience in image analysis, preferably with medical images.
