We are always seeking passionate and technically savvy Administrative Assistants to support Researchers in various disciplines.

RAND is currently seeking Mid-Senior level Administrative Assistants to provide high-level support to national security work requiring a Department of Defense (DoD) clearance. This role requires a self-starter and strong team player who is forward thinking, able to swiftly change pace, adapts to changing priorities and can juggle complex assignments while working under minimal supervision.

  • May perform as a technical resource and mentor colleagues.

Qualifications

Advanced knowledge of Mac and/or PC platforms, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Security Clearance

This position requiresa DoDsecurity clearance. Candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which requires U.S.Citizenship.Candidates with an active clearance are preferred.

Experience

Administrative AssistantIV: 4 years minimum experience; 6 years preferred
Administrative Assistant V: 5 years minimum experience; 6 years preferred

Education

Minimum: High School; Preferred: BS/BA

Location

Washington, DC (some roles offer hybrid and flexible schedules). Fully remote is not available for this role.

Salary Range: $55,900 - $93,500

Administrative AssistantIV $55,900 - $83,200

Administrative Assistant V $62,700 - $93,500

RAND considers a variety of factors when formulating an offer, including but not limited to, the specific role and associated responsibilities; a candidate's work experience, education/training, skills, expertise; and internal equity.This position is overtime eligible. Successful candidates will be offered employment in a specific title, as determined by the candidate's education and experience.
