Additional Referendum Monies Available Job Summary Performs journeyman level work in the fabrication and installation of wooden cabinets, shelves, moldings and related fixtures. This entrance level class lies below that of Millshop Carpenter Foreperson. Essential Functions 1. Performs carpentry work related to building and repair of cabinets and related items. 2. Using blueprints, diagrams, sketches or drawings, cuts materials, assembles, installs and finishes cabinets, shelves and related items. 3. Cleans, sharpens and repairs hand and bench tools. 4. Maintains applicable records. 5. Operates pick-up truck as necessary for outside work. 6. Performs other duties as assigned. Probation: Six (6) months Qualifications Open Requirements: Four (4) years of cabinet making experience and/or related millshop carpentry work. Time spent in an approved apprenticeship program for this class may be counted toward the experience requirements. A valid Florida driver's license is required prior to appointment and must be maintained during employment in this class.
