The University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education & Hotel is hiring motivated, dependable, and team-orientated individuals for jobs that advance UGA's mission of Public Service and Outreach. The Georgia Center, located on campus across from Stegeman Coliseum, is the campus hub for the development and administration of non-credit professional and continuing education courses as well as home of the only on-campus hotel.

Minimum Qualifications
Requires are least a high school diploma or equivalent. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years experience working in supervisory role, preferably in hotels
Efficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook)
Position Summary
* Serve as Manager on Duty
* Supervise front office employees to ensure efficient and high-quality guest experience
* Support team members in handling guest requests and complaints in order to achieve a positive outcome
* Communicate with team members, so that employees on duty are fully aware of relevant matters related to guests and/or other departments
* Perform bucket checks, income auditing, and monitor room inventories
* Understand all hotel room categories, room rates, packages, promotions, and other product knowledge necessary to perform daily duties and help maximize revenue opportunities
* Monitor guest billing arrangements
* Knowledge of hotel's fire, health, and safety regulations and, when needed, act in accordance with these policies and procedures
* Assist Front Office Manager and Front Office Assistant Manager
* Attend meetings and training sessions as needed
* Build strong relationships and cooperate with other hotel departments

Outstanding customer service skills, professional communication skills, computer skills, detail oriented, time management and organizational skills

Stand for long periods of time utilizing a computer and/or phone; walk and move about the hotel; reach, bend, and stoop; climb stairs
