The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. Position Summary

The Minah Kim lab is seeking a bright, highly motivated junior level specialist with an interest in research on cancer biology. Our lab focuses on tumor metastasis and drug resistance in different types of cancer and use mouse models and patient samples for studies. Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, the research technician will be responsible for carrying out fully planned experiments, imaging, computational analysis, and ordering and caring for mouse colonies. After a training period, the junior specialist will perform experiments that include treatment of mice, perfusion, and analysis primary and metastatic tissues. Additional duties will be assigned as required for the project and normal laboratory operations.

Responsibilities



  • 20%- Data analysis
  • 20%- Tissue imaging
  • 20% - Immunohistochemistry
  • 15% - Mouse treatment and experiment including perfusion
  • 10%- Mouse maintenance
  • 10%- Laboratory maintenance and organization
  • 5%- Other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications



  • Two years of college or a completed A.A program with an emphasis in chemistry, biology, or physics or a completed animal husbandry program. One year of related experience, or equivalent in education, training and/or experience.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Postgraduate researcher for work in cancer biology.
